The second round of the Discmania Challenge begins Saturday morning at Pickard Park. Follow top men’s and women’s professional disc golfers as they take on a demanding layout built around long fairways, wooded areas, elevation changes and water hazards.
Pickard Park offers a different experience from watching disc golf online. Spectators can see the flight of each disc, hear the reactions from the crowd and watch professional players solve difficult shots from just off the fairway. Day 2 Evening: More Than the Tournament
Experience the Energy Around Pickard Park
Once the final cards finish their rounds, the tournament atmosphere continues around Pickard Park. Saturday activities are scheduled to include fan challenges, tournament vendors and special events connected to the disc golf community.
The Discmania Challenge takes place during another major Indianola tradition, the National Balloon Classic. If the weather cooperates, balloons may be visible in the distance during the evening. It is a combination few destinations can offer: professional disc golf on the ground and colorful balloons filling the summer sky.
Day 3: Championship Sunday
Watch the Tournament Reach Its Finish
Return to Pickard Park Sunday morning for the final round. Players enter the day with the championship on the line, making every drive, approach and putt more important. Follow the leading cards through the course and stay for the awards ceremony after the final round.
The 18-hole course uses rolling hills, native prairie, woodlands, a creek and a small pond to challenge even the best players. Watching the final round is a chance to see how professionals manage the same course local players can enjoy throughout the year.
Share One More Local Meal
After the final round, head back to the square for lunch at Winn’s Pizza & Steakhouse. Pizza, steak, gyros and other choices give the group plenty of ways to celebrate the weekend.
