Enjoy a tasting and tour at Iowa’s oldest winery, Summerset Winery. Award-winning wines from local grapes. Go beyond the vineyard at Summerset with a lengthy list of events — book signings and barre class to comedians and cupcakes. All while discovering your favorite Summerset wine. May-October, bring your blanket and grab a glass, there’s live music every Sunday!

Local Vine is a local favorite. A delightful gathering spot right on the northwest corner of the town square. Grab a table inside or out and enjoy fine wines by the glass or bottle. Make an evening of it with some apps, sandwiches and a sweet treat, maybe two. Be sure to catch trivia night!

Cheers to a quiet evening with friends. Feed & Foster on the west side of the town square has the wine and provisions to build a savory soiree. Find top wines, cheeses and other bites. You can even grab some new serving ware to top your table.

West Hill Brewing Co. is an award-winning brewery and taproom just off the town square. You’ll find a long list of West Hill craft beers, including Cotton Kites IPA, South of 92 Pilsner and Bee Humble Brown Ale, just to name a few. There’s an outdoor beer garden and usually a food truck parked out front. You can order in from local restaurants too!

The Groggy Dog is a cozy pub and restaurant on the north side of the town square, offering 16 rotating craft beer selections, some unique to Groggy Dog. Drink some of the best Iowa brews, including Big Grove Easy Eddy IPA, Iowa Brewing Co. Bohemian Rapids, and ales from Toppling Goliath. Couple your craft beer with an order of Scotch eggs or Shepard’s pie.

Z’s Eatery and Draught Haus is located on the north side of town. In addition to great hand-cut steaks, Z’s has 11 craft beers on tap, which vary by season. You can find their tap list on the Untappd app anytime. Z’s also has an extensive cocktail menu. Each drink is created with quality ingredients and syrups made in-house. And be sure to check out their wall of bourbons — everything from high-end labels to great starters for those new to the whiskey game.

Brickhouse Tavern offers true tavern charm, with a monstrous mahogany bar, exposed brick walls and an eclectic selection of brews from near and far. Stop by for game day specials and watch the game of the week on the large projection screen. Hot pizza and cold beer always wins! Or sip your suds on the street-side patio.

Sports Page has been voted a local favorite for years! Find the best domestic beers and a rotating selection of craft beers too. Are you a match for Sports Page’s 25-oz. ice-cold Blaster? Sports Page is a great game day destination with 20+ big-screen TVs, and great food and drink specials. Enjoy the outside dining area featuring art by local artist Megan Shipley.
